Main duties of the Speech and Language Therapist:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of swallowing difficulties in patients with dysphagia.
2. Develop and implement individualized management plans, including recommendations for diet modification, swallowing techniques, and therapeutic interventions.
3. Manage a varied caseload, often including complex cases under supervision or with support from Band 7 or higher-level clinicians.
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist/SLT:
1. Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
2. Recent UK/NHS post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist.
