Specialist Clinical Research Nurse/ Research Officer
This post is Fixed term for 2 years to meet the needs of the service.
This post is part of the growing Research Delivery team based at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport. The post holder will be responsible for the set-up and delivery of studies, working as part of a multi-professional team. This will include complex trials managed within our Clinical Research Centre and research studies in specialties across the Health Board.
This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse/AHP to develop their career in a committed, collaborative and supportive team. Personal and professional development is a priority and you should expect a range of training and development opportunities.
We are especially keen to hear from applicants with experience of clinical research delivery; however, full training will be provided. You should be an experienced professional with a strong interest in research and person-centred care.
The Research Officer role is suitable for experienced Clinical Research Practitioners and Registered Allied Health Professionals.
Main duties of the job
* Support recruitment of patients to clinical trials
* Support clinical procedures within the specification of the clinical trial
* Train and assess other staff
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
