Country Procurement Specialist

Role description:
The purpose of this role is to control and provide administrative support to the plants of the AGP UK Procurement process, ensuring compliance to policy and procedure to Procure, and to manage and sustain relationships that delivers the least cost solution to minimise revenue costs to the business.
Responsibilities:
* Monitor SAP requisition release strategy process flow and complete order conversion, assist in Process data cleansing and harmonization within SAP
* Assign vendors based on maintained price files and new vendor control and administration assistance
* Manage supplier order acknowledgement receipt, negotiate, implement and manage regional suppliers’ commercial contracts
* Develop regional competitive sources of supply for goods and services, maintaining or improving quality standards
* Represent the company in supplier management meetings to create relationships that prevent or resolve supplier issues effectively
* Form relationships with internal key stakeholders ensuring the smooth operation of contracts and optimising their performance
Required skills / qualifications:
* Good working knowledge of SAP is essential
* Experience in Procurement / purchasing / supply chain / commercial environment
* Good working knowledge of working within business practices and procedures
* Evidence of self-motivation and ability to work within a small team environment
* Established commercial acumen
* Data interrogation and attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication across all stakeholders is essential
