Hays Belfast are currently recruiting a Project Manager on behalf of a Belfast-based property development contractor, which has carved out a foothold in the Northern Ireland construction market in recent years and is growing its project portfolio across the country. Due to their continued growth and a recent contract win, thispany is now seeking to expand their construction team with the addition of an experienced Project Manager to manage a new state-of-the-art Apartment Block, housing 85 new apartments located in the heart of Belfast city.
Your new role
As Project Manager, you will report to Senior Management team and deliver a high-end residential development in Belfast City Centre. The scheme is being built on the site of two derelict buildings due for demolition, where you will manage the construction of 85 apartments to a state-of-the-art standard.Based in an ideal city centre location, the building will also include a gym on first floor and sharedmunal space and roof gardens.The concrete building consists of 10 floors and largemercial units on the ground floor.Working as the project lead, you’ll help direct your management staff to ensure that the project is delivered to the highest standards, in as cost and time-efficient manner as possible. Your newpany prides itself on its recent growth, and you will be expected to meet client expectations. Working alongside subcontractors, site stakeholders, supply chain, and client needs, this will be a challenging yet rewarding role. You will manage all aspects of the project delivery while keeping close to the detail on the ground and liaising with all teams such as those with themercial, planning, design, and subcontractors on site to handover stage.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a similar Project Manager role within Construction, and proven experience in delivering jobs of this size and scale. You will befortable as the go-to person and take full ownership of the sites delivery andmercial needs. A degree in construction management, engineering (or equivalent) or proven trade experience while progressing to management level.The ability to understand and resolveplex problems in the fast-paced environment of construction. Proficiency in Project Management software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools. You must beputer (IT) literate. Relevant construction management tickets, such an SMSTS ticket or NVQ level 6. A First Aid at Work Qualification (Preferred). You will stand out if you have proven experience in construction management in a residential construction role or equivalent, with experience working with several subcontractors who interface with each other.
