About the department
Organisations around the world face unprecedented challenges in recruiting, retaining and motivating their people. Our Share Plans & Reward team works with businesses to help them meet these challenges, designing and implementing incentive structures that align the interests of employees with those of their organisation, empowering them to deliver their goals and to be rewarded for doing so.
RSM’s Share Plans & Reward team consists of around 30 specialists, including three Partners and two Directors. It is part of our fast-growing Employer Solutions group, working alongside colleagues specialising in Employment Tax and Global Mobility. We work with businesses and organisations across all sectors, helping them to structure their incentive plans in a way that inspires and motivates their teams and ensures maximum efficiency of reward spend. About the role
This role is to support the needs of a diverse range of clients in providing a variety of share scheme and incentive structuring, tax advice and implementation support. The role will involve a significant amount of client contact as well as providing support to more senior colleagues in the Share Plans & Reward team. The position will present varied challenges and give you the responsibility to fully stretch and grow your skills, offering excellent development potential.
* Meeting with clients to discuss their business and their incentive needs then working on the design of new employee incentive schemes.
* Providing advice on the tax treatment of a wide range of share plans during implementation and operation and on transactions.
* Implementing share plan structures, including preparing the necessary legal documentation.
* Advising on the valuation of shares for tax purposes.
* Working alongside our RSM colleagues from across the world to provide advice on international share incentive structures.
About the ideal candidate
* Experience of working in a Share Plans / Reward team at a reputable accountancy, law or consulting firm.
* Relevant professional qualification, for example ATT, CTA, ACA or Solicitor.
* Proven experience in client handling and project management.
* Experience in producing exceptional quality work for demanding clients.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
