The Opportunity
The Sales Director plays a pivotal role in diving the commercial sales direction and performance of Landmark Solutions in line with the strategy for this BU, whilst supporting the overall direction of Landmark Information Group. You will be responsible for delivering the commercial objectives of the BU, particularly revenue and gross margin.
The role will involve:
13. Leading high level customer meetings to support the BU and Landmark Information Groups objectives.
14. Developing and implementing a sales strategy for Landmark Solutions, this must be consistent with the 3-year growth plan and support the wider Landmark Information Groups strategy.
15. Ensuring Landmark Information Group sales process is deployed in the BU- trained, understood, executed and measured.
16. Ensuring sales teams and their structures are appropriate to support the sales strategy with the right mix of skills and knowledge in place.
17. Evaluating internal processes to identify areas for improvement.
18. Supporting and representing the sales requirements of Landmark Solutions and competitor opportunities into the wider Landmark Information Groups.
19. Continually reviewing performance of the sales team – activity, opportunity coverage and management, performance vs target.
About You
To be successful as the Sales Director, you will be someone who comes from a proven background in securing new business from ‘hunter consultative selling (achieving >10x annual salary), from environmental/utility based markets. You should also have experience with client relationship management ensuring long term customer satisfaction.
In addition to this you will have extensive experience in strategic planning, relationship building and setting targets.
You will also have/be:
20. Industry recognised qualifications or relevant degree, or experience in senior leadership roles
21. Formal sales methodology – Sales force Training
22. Understanding of the property market/markets that Landmark Information Group serves
23. Experience leading a sales team to meet targets for the year
24. Strong communicator, both written and oral
25. Ability to manage your own workload and meeting requirements
26. Experience managing a team and driving personal growth
