Your Role & Responsibilities
As an RVN, you’ll play a vital role in the practice, assisting the vet team with a variety of duties, including:
✅ Patient Care – Observing patients, administering medications, cleaning patients.
✅ Surgical Assistance – Monitoring anaesthetics, assisting with dental procedures, IV catheter placement, IV fluids.
✅ Lab Work – Running lab samples, packaging samples for external testing.
✅ Client Support – Admitting and discharging patients.
✅ Hygiene & Maintenance – Ensuring high standards of cleanliness in the practice.
Shifts & Rota
⏰ Shift Times:
* Start: 08:30 AM or 12:00 PM
* Finish: 5:00 PM or 8:30 PM
* Weekends: 1 in 3 (Saturday morning surgery, on-call for the remainder of the weekend, caring for inpatients)
* Out of Hours: Yes (rare call-outs)
* Nurse Consults: No
