We are looking for an experienced Professional Business Support to support two high-profile teams implementing the new Critical Third Parties oversight regime.
Financial services firms increasingly rely on the services of a small number of third party technology companies and other third-party providers. If one were to fail, it could lead to widespread disruption, impacting consumers, firms, markets and posing a risk to financial stability. We have been given new powers to supervise firms designated by Treasury as Critical Third Parties (CTPs), working closely with the PRA and Bank of England. The regime is designed to help strengthen the resilience of the services they provide to financial services firms.
This is an exciting opportunity, working with two managers, and two teams of welcoming and supportive colleagues who will be overseeing the CTPs.
This role will be ideal for someone looking to broaden their PBS experience, make new contacts and gain experience of working with colleagues in the PRA and other organisations.
What you will be doing
Reporting to two managers, the purpose of the role incorporates complex diary management and meeting support. You will need to demonstrate the ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritise tasks and have strong organisational skills. At times, you may need to assist other Professional Support colleagues within TRC, providing a broad base of support for the TRC Senior Leadership Team.
* Proactive diary management and assisting the two managers for meetings, ensuring the managers have sufficient time to review materials and papers.
* Coordinating attendance of external meetings, including meeting room bookings, travel, accommodation, and expenses.
* Arranging meetings, including room bookings and attendance.
* Managing the administration of recruitment processes such as scheduling interviews and ensuring accompanying interview packs, scoring sheets, etc. are in place.
* Managing joiner/leaver IT requirements and resolving ad-hoc issues or queries on behalf of the managers.
* Working alongside local Personal Assistants (to the Head of Department and the Director) to coordinate the department’s administrative activities, including ensuring there is adequate administrative cover.
* Providing general assistance to other members of the TRC CTPs team when required.
What will you get from the role?
* The opportunity to work in a busy, challenging, and engaging environment with a broad and varied workload.
* Involvement in a high-profile area of the business.
* Interaction with a range of internal and external contacts.
* The opportunity to establish and build a good network of working relationships with colleagues at all levels across the FCA and also at the PRA.
* Training and personal development.
