Position Title: Point of Sale Designer
Location: Chesham
Salary: Up to 32k DOE
Job Role
The Point-of-Sale Designer will work under the direction of the POS Design Manager to ensure that all designs meet the expectations and needs of the customer. This is a busy, fast-paced role that requires attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Taking responsibility for specific named clients, providing a service from design conception to completion.
2. Working closely across other teams to ensure the design brief is completed accurately and timely.
3. Contributing and leading on ideas and designs as part of a team using 3D CAD software and 2D design software.
4. Taking approved visuals/concepts and producing 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
5. Ensuring projects are designed to budget whilst actively looking for and promoting cost-saving opportunities during the design development.
6. Creating project documentation that adheres to company-defined processes - detailed parts drawings, general assembly drawings, DXF, and artwork for printing.
7. Ensuring retail/POS designs are fit for purpose, adhering to any client requirements or health & safety needs.
8. Conducting sample testing as directed.
9. Ensuring design briefs/projects remain on schedule.
10. Dealing with queries and potential problems/issues sensitively and assertively.
11. Amending designs after feedback.
12. Adhering to all company policies and performance goals.
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
1. Experience in a similar large format/POS design role is essential.
2. Competent user of SolidWorks.
3. Good degree of technical knowledge balanced with creative ability and a hands-on approach.
4. Strong computer literacy including three-dimensional conceptual ability and CAD.
5. Strong written English, numeracy, and organizational skills.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Self-motivated and able to demonstrate good use of initiative.
8. Excellent team player who is able to role model the positive behaviors required of all staff.
