Support Worker (Internally known as an Enablement Assistant) Location: Fareham Hours Per Week: 32 hours (shifts times -08:00-20:00, 08:00-23:00, 1 x sleep in ") Hourly Rate: £12.50 - sleep in rate £60.00 Driver essential About the role We are ideally looking for an experienced support worker with a background in working with people who have a learning disability, autism or experience in supporting people with behaviours that challenge. However, for the right candidate that doesn't necessarily have existing practical experience, we are happy to provide all of the training required for you to be able to fulfil the duties of the role, as long as you have an understanding around behaviours that challenge. This position is to support a lady in her own home who we currently support on a 3:1 basis, with a shift pattern of 8am - 8pm (twice a week) and 8am - 11pm and a sleep in (once a week). She communicates by a mixture of BSL, finger spelling and Makaton and has a learning disabilities and epilepsy. She likes to go out and about walking and running and has a very stable and strong team supporting her, who would be able to provide you with support and advice to ensure a smooth transition in to the support team. You will also be able to access support from the Enablement Manager, Deputy Enablement Manager and the Positive Behaviour Support Clinician who provide you and the team with management and leadership.
