As the Applications Engineer, you will work within a multi-functional team and play a key part in the sales bid process.
You will create 2D and 3D designs based on standard or existing TGW solutions that meet our customers' requirements and provide the best cost-effective solutions possible.
WHAT YOU’LL BE HANDLING
* Find intelligent solutions to meet the customers' requirements.
* Create layout designs using 2D and 3D CAD software.
* Produce detailed elaboration of solution ideas developed by the project team.
* Be actively involved in technical discussions and challenging customer requirements where needed.
* Provide descriptions of the conveyed goods (size, weight, barcodes, etc.) in the TGW proposal.
* Create explanations of internal and third-party logistics equipment in the TGW proposal.
* Present the layout and technical (mechatronic) solution to the customer.
* Support the project delivery team during handover to project delivery teams.
* Make comparisons and technical validation of internal and third-party equipment.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant rules, guidelines, and process instructions.
* Create a cost calculation for mechanics and controls.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Required:
* Experience as an applications engineer, proposals engineer, mechanical design, project engineer, or similar within engineering or manufacturing.
* Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
* Confident managing key relationships internally and with customers.
* Communicative, able to work in a team, open-minded, and proactive.
* Systematic and structured approach to work.
* Fluent in English for technical discussions.
* Confident user of MS Office applications.
Preferred:
* Experience with Trimble and SketchUp 3D software.
* Knowledge of mechanics, automation, and logistics processes.
* Familiar with controls and PLC engineering.
* Knowledge of third-party equipment such as racking systems, labelling machinery, sorting systems, etc.
* Understanding of competitors' solutions and characteristics.
