Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician Location: Fakenham, Norfolk Shift pattern: 14:00-22:30 Mon-Fri & 06:00-12:00 every 3rd Saturday Reports to: Engineering Manager/Senior Business Function: All Business Production/Manufacturing Lines/Plants Grade Salary: Up to £39,000 per annum Role Responsibilities Ensure all PPM activities are completed on time, providing feedback to the Senior Engineer to improve the PPM system. Work closely with the Engineer on the opposite shift for effective handover of ongoing activities and information sharing. Provide knowledge and input into continuous improvement of plant, machinery, and maintenance activities. Identify long-running problems and suitable solutions with the Senior Engineer and Engineering Manager. Improve equipment performance, reliability, and running costs for replacement parts and consumables. Undertake repairs to equipment safely and timely, keeping Production updated on progress. Perform remedial engineering works as instructed by the Engineering Manager. Communicate any risks of safety or equipment failure to the Manager. Ensure contractors work safely on site and adhere to Health and Safety rules. Carry out activities in accordance with Site Health and Safety instructions and relevant engineering standards. Report incidents, accidents, and near misses per Health and Safety Policies. Maintain health and safety equipment appropriately as per the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. Adhere to safe systems of work and best practice procedures. Maintain good housekeeping standards. Ensure compliance with Company disciplines, rules, and standards. Maintain company assets for maximum efficiency. Ensure excellent communication between Production staff and co-workers. What Will Make You Stand Out? Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Electrical Installation 18th Edition. Electrical Installation Maintenance. Mechanical Fabrication/Maintenance. Electronic fault finding to component level. Ability to develop effective working relationships across all management levels and staff, and work as part of a team. Recognised qualification relevant to this maintenance Engineering role. Skilled in both Electrical and Mechanical trades; Apprenticeship with indentures preferred.
