Support Worker
Maternity cover contract running up to August 2025
Location – Hawick
Pay Rate - £12.00 per hour
16 hours per week

The Role
You will be supporting individuals within their own homes with daily living skills, encouraging and promoting service users' independence and supporting with tasks which include: meal preparation, household tasks, shopping, medication, personal care, attending medical appointments, and activities in the community.
During a shift, you will travel between homes within the Hawick area. Having your own vehicle would be an advantage but not essential. Non-drivers should be prepared to walk in all weathers while on shift.
Support ranges from short visits up to a few hours, so you may be visiting multiple homes in one shift.

Our support workers are person-centred in their delivery of care, making our service very flexible and adaptable to each individual’s requirements. We support people to make their own choices, no matter how small, and believe everyone should feel empowered to have choice and control over their lives.

Having experience of supporting individuals with additional needs is desirable but not essential as training will be given.
An enhanced adult PVG will be required for this role.
