An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Administration Manager for 18 Weeks / Validation at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, Guildford. This is a permanent position.
The post holder has the responsibility of ensuring that the systems and processes within the 18 Week Validation team meet all local and national policies and procedures. The post holder will be required to have an excellent understanding of 18 weeks/RTT, patient pathways and the national and local rules regarding this access target.
The post holder will need to provide support, training, development and advice to the team. Monitoring of team productivity and audit is also a key part of the role, addressing any areas of variance or concern.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for managing the 18 Week Validation Team for the Trust and the validation work that is undertaken within the Team. The successful candidate will ensure that the validation entered onto our PAS/Cerner (Millennium ePR) [Patient Administration System] is accurately recorded, succinct and in the correct format, in line with national rules around 18 weeks/RTT. This role requires liaison with colleagues across the Trust from all disciplines and supports excellent clinical service to patients.

The post holder will act as a super user of the outpatient, booking and inpatient elements of Cerner (Millennium ePR) as well as developing good knowledge of the ERS referrals system.

Qualifications
* Degree level or equivalent level of knowledge
* IT qualifications, or demonstrable experience, including proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Systems
Knowledge
* Hold a broad understanding and knowledge of RTT
* An understanding of the Data Protection Act and confidentiality
* Knowledge of local and national targets
* Experience in using a PAS
* Knowledge of health care environment
* Experience in using Cerner (Millennium ePR)
* Hold detailed knowledge of RTT rules & Cancer target rules
* Knowledge of the ERS referrals system
* Understanding of medical terminology
* Experience in managing change
