Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for an AutoCAD Draughtsman for our prestigious client based in Rugeley. Job Summary: The AutoCAD Draughtsman is responsible for creating precise technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software to support engineering, architectural, or construction projects. The role involves interpreting design briefs, ensuring accuracy, and collaborating with engineers and other stakeholders to achieve project goals. Key Responsibilities: 1. Drafting and Design: Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD software Prepare technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics based on design specifications Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards, project requirements, and safety regulations 2. Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project needs Incorporate feedback into designs and make necessary adjustments Coordinate with other departments to resolve design challenges 3. Quality Assurance: Review designs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications Perform revisions as needed and ensure timely delivery of drawings Maintain version control and proper documentation of all drawings 4. Software Utilization: Use AutoCAD software proficiently to produce designs Stay updated with the latest AutoCAD features and other relevant tools Utilise other design software as required (e.g. Revit, SolidWorks, or SketchUp) 5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain a detailed record of design revisions and updates Generate BOMs (Bill of Materials) or material lists, if required Prepare reports and presentations related to project designs Key Requirements: Educational Qualifications: Diploma or degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field Certification in AutoCAD or equivalent technical drawing software is preferred Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as an AutoCAD Draughtsman in relevant industries such as construction, architecture, or manufacturing Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) Familiarity with additional design software (e.g., Revit, SolidWorks, or other CAD tools) is an advantage Strong knowledge of engineering principles, technical drawings, and materials Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Good communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Other Requirements: Familiarity with local building codes and standards Knowledge of project management principles advantageous Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm Salary: Negotiable upto £40,000 DOE In order to be considered for this position or for further information please contact our Commercial team on extension 1004 or submit your CV to, quoting ref TEAAUTOC/04 Applicants can also register online by clicking the link – For information on all of our roles, please refer to.
