Knowsley Library Service has branches in Huyton, Kirkby, Halewood, Prescot, and Stockbridge Village.
As a Library Assistant, you will provide a high-quality service and support to our library users. To excel in this role, you will be able to:
* Work effectively as part of a team.
* Work accurately and with limited supervision.
* Demonstrate enthusiasm for books and reading.
* Possess good digital skills to support library users and service delivery.
* Deliver excellent customer-focused services.
* Show excellent communication skills.
* Deal with demanding situations in a calm and helpful manner.
* Prepare, deliver and support library activities and events for users of all ages.
* Have knowledge of local, regional, and national initiatives.
* Shelve books, pack boxes and move items.
* Work a varied shift pattern including alternate Saturdays.
* Be able to travel to any of our libraries when required.
