We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Assistant Head of Year, who is able to establish a strong rapport with young people and be rigorous in maintaining our ethos.
The role of Assistant Head of Year is to guide and support pupils’ wellbeing and academic achievement at St Michael’s Church of England High School, ensuring students achieve to the best of their ability and are able to flourish and live life to the fullest.
This is a non-teaching role and the successful candidate will work within our very experienced and supportive teaching and non-teaching Pastoral team. The main responsibilities will include the management of behaviour, welfare, attendance and academic achievement interventions for a specific group of students. The post holder will work closely with students, staff, parents and agencies to remove barriers to learning and progress and will support a Head of Year to deliver the highest standards of student behaviour and attendance .
