Company Overview: SF recruitment are working in partnership with a UK market leader, with over 60 brands across its business. They are currently undergoing significant changes due to growth, including a 7-figure refurbishment of their offices in Tamworth and investment in training and new systems. The Credit function is a high-performing and proactive team, reporting to a Credit Manager. You will take ownership of your own ledger and manage it end-to-end.
Your New Role:
1. Responsible for managing 2 diverse ledgers
2. Proactive credit control, resolving queries before due date
3. Chasing customers for outstanding payments, ensuring prompt payment
4. Daily bank reconciliation and cash allocation, keeping on top of any unallocated payments
5. Maintaining and updating customer records, running credit checks and reviews
6. Setting up new accounts and credit vetting them
7. Looking at ways to improve processes
8. Liaising with internal departments to best resolve queries and maintain high customer service levels
9. Meeting month-end and year-end deadlines
What You'll Need:
1. Previous experience in an AR/Credit department
2. Strong communication & organizational skills
3. Strong negotiation skills
4. Good systems skills including Excel
5. AAT/CICM qualification is desired but not essential

Salary: up to £33,700 depending on experience
Hours: 8-5 Mon-Friday (1 hour lunch)
