Due to a recent retirement, Brimsham Green School is seeking to appoint a Clerk to the Governing Body. Duties include assisting with planning the Governor meeting agendas, distributing meeting documents, taking accurate minutes and advising the Governing Body on its responsibilities.
Our meetings, which total 24 per year, are generally held on Monday evenings (6.30pm – 8.30pm) during term time. All other duties can be fulfilled from home at times of the day to suit the post holder (whilst ensuring agreed deadlines are met). We are looking for someone who:
has administrative experienceis IT literate (Microsoft Office)is well organised and has good communication skillsis able to take accurate minutes at meetingsis able to maintain impartiality and handle confidential mattersYou should be reliable and have a flexible approach. Previous clerking experience is desirable however not essential as training, support and professional development is available.
The fee payable to the Clerk to the Governing Body for the 25 governor meetings is £2,836 per year and any additional work undertaken is paid at £13.26 per hour.
