An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join our team.
As the Lead Neighbourhood Officer, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer-focused services, managing neighbourhoods effectively, and improving the quality of life for residents.
You will oversee and supervise a team of officers, provide guidance and act as a flexible resource in dealing with complex issues and cases in all tenancy matters. You will support the Neighbourhood Housing Manager and deputise for them in their absence. This is a fantastic opportunity for career progression and taking on line management responsibilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Supervising and supporting a small number of officers to deliver outstanding customer service.
2. Building strong relationships with customers and partner agencies, understanding their needs, and addressing their concerns.
3. Providing a flexible resource for your team and taking ownership of complex cases to seek positive outcomes.
4. Implementing community engagement initiatives/projects to enhance customer involvement and service delivery.
5. Ensuring compliance with housing regulations and health and safety standards.
6. Fully deputising for the Neighbourhood Housing Manager in their absence.
What We're Looking For:
1. Previous experience in Housing, particularly in Tenancy Services/Estate Management.
2. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
4. A passion for community development and customer well-being.
5. Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
6. Knowledge of housing laws and regulations.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act "for the effective performance of a customer-facing role").
The ability to travel throughout the Borough will be required.
