About the role We are looking for a proactive, energetic and enthusiastic Area Coordinator to work Days at our CFC in Erith; Kent. The successful candidate will report into the the Warehouse Department (Area) Manager and be responsible for assisting them, with managing the performance of a designated department within the warehouse, in an efficient and professional manner. This will mean ensuring all targets are met without loss in performance to the business and within the site management structure. As an Area Coordinator you will help the Area Managers lead the daily running of site operations with responsibilities relating to all aspects of site safety and quality of service, delivering operational targets within the agreed budget and time frame. This role is for 48 hours per week, starting at 05:30 AM on an any 4 days from 7 rotation. Due to having two rotating teams to cover the operation, there will be occasions where both teams are working on the same day, on a crossover shift, meaning there will be a requirement to occasionally work a 5th day per week, as needed. Contribute to the delivery of the main KPIs for your Business Unit including labour turnover and absence %. Highlight development and upskilling opportunities to support the continuous improvement and personal development of the team. Take ownership for identifying and resolving physical and technical issues affecting the operation (such as software and defective equipment) within your business unit, escalating as appropriate. Pro-active reporting of production issues, ensuring all relevant and operational critical issues / incidents are identified and resolved / escalated, to minimise disruption to productivity levels and customer service metrics within your business unit. Make recommendations for future improvements and best practice. Ensure that all processes and supporting tasks are completed to agreed timescales and support the achievement of all relevant KPIs associated to the customer. Strong verbal and written communication and numeracy skills are a must and a passion for dealing with people and a focus to achieve employee satisfaction. Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance are preferred and previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment are essential. What do I get in return?
