We are looking for an experienced administrator with strong leadership skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. As the Licensing Administration Supervisor, you will oversee the licensing administration team, ensuring the efficient processing of applications for alcohol, civic government, taxi/private hire, gambling, and other statutory licenses. You will ensure compliance with relevant legislation, provide guidance to staff and stakeholders, and contribute to service improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supervise and support a team handling licensing applications, renewals, and variations.
* Ensure compliance with Scottish licensing laws and Council policies.
* Monitor workloads, allocate tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently.
* Provide guidance and training to staff on licensing laws and procedures.
* Act as the main point of contact for escalated queries and complaints.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Police Scotland, NHS, and Fire Services.
* Prepare reports, statistics, and performance data for senior management and committees.
* Oversee financial processes related to licensing fees.
* Continuously review and improve licensing procedures.
