Contact Us- Recruitmenthopehomecare.co.uk We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) Practitioner to join a school-based setting in Telford, UK. This is a contract role with the potential for extension, offering an excellent opportunity to provide early intervention and mental health support to young people within an educational environment. As a CAMHS Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering evidence-based mental health interventions, assessing students’ emotional well-being, and ensuring timely support for those experiencing psychological difficulties. Key Responsibilities: Conduct mental health assessments for children and young people presenting with emotional and behavioral difficulties. Provide therapeutic interventions, including CBT-based techniques and psychoeducation, tailored to individual needs. Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, and external mental health professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care. Develop individual care plans, ensuring appropriate referrals and signposting to external services when necessary. Offer early intervention strategies to prevent escalation of mental health difficulties. Support and advise parents, carers, and school staff on managing students’ mental well-being effectively. Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with NHS/CAMHS guidelines and safeguarding policies. Participate in multi-agency meetings to coordinate care and intervention strategies. This is a contract role with the potential for extension. Enhanced DBS check required. The role is based within a school setting in Telford and may require some travel. Requirements Professional registration with a relevant body (e.g., NMC, HCPC, BACP, UKCP ). Experience working in CAMHS, NHS, or similar mental health services. Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health conditions. Experience delivering mental health interventions in educational or clinical settings. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and risk management strategies. Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
