About the role
We are seeking a Technical Manager to oversee and ensure the efficient and effective delivery of dental equipment services. This includes providing technical support, maintaining service level agreements, and offering remote support to our service and installation engineers. The Technical Manager will also manage the schedules of engineers within a specified area, advise clients on the proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of dental equipment, and prepare and follow up on quotes for customers based on further work recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Providing reactive technical support for incoming service call-out requests and ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer issues.
2. Maintaining SLAs to meet or exceed customer expectations.
3. Building relationships with clients within allocated areas.
4. Offering remote technical support to service and installation engineers.
5. Providing ongoing coaching and feedback to support team members, fostering their professional growth.
6. Monitoring and adhering to performance indicators and customer feedback for management review.
7. Managing diaries for the engineers within the allocated area.
8. Ensuring successful completion of engineer job sheets including recommendations within the allocated area.
9. Advising clients on the proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of dental equipment within their practices.
10. Preparing and following up on quotes for customers based on further work recommendations.
11. Creating invoices efficiently within allocated areas.
12. Addressing customer inquiries regarding invoices promptly and delivering effective resolutions.
13. Attending sites to complete repair works in case of tricky faults or high workload.
14. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including sales and product development, to communicate customer feedback and contribute to product improvement.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
1. Profound understanding of dental equipment, including their use, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
2. Capable of resolving technical issues both remotely and on-site.
3. Proficient in using various software and hardware.
4. Understands the business landscape and market trends.
