UKIFS Assurance and Audit Manager
STEP is an audacious programme that aims to deliver the first true prototype fusion energy plant and, through that, develop a global supply chain in which the UK has a leading role.
Achieving this requires building a new client company, UK Industrial Fusion Solutions Ltd. (UKIFS) and for that company to partner with major industrial firms in a collaboration "single team" operating model.
The UKIFS Assurance and Audit Manager will support UKIFS in ensuring it has effective assurance processes in place, including:
1. Monitor and evaluate management controls and review processes to enable the business and its management to continually improve performance in relation to Assurance matters.
2. Develop the UKIFS Assurance Framework and links between Company and Programme Assurance.
3. Develop guidance and associated procedures to enable fully integrated assurance planning in UKIFS. Conduct evaluation of existing assurance guidance for each Line of defence and integrating assurance processes with the corporate assurance framework.
4. Monitor audit and other assurance actions to ensure they are managed and closed in a timely manner.
5. Lead on delivery of and co-ordinate input on the UKIFS Governance Statement and its assurance requirements to UKAEA as Shareholder.
6. Lead the timely and accurate reporting of integrated assurance plans and milestones to support project, programme or divisional level assurance activities.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Qualified to degree level, or the equivalent/demonstrable equivalent experience.
2. Experience of managing audits in a research or engineering environment.
3. Knowledge of ISO standards and the requirements necessary to maintain certification.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills to enable effective working relationships to be developed with people in a wide range of roles and levels of responsibility.
