Your role...
In this mission, you are the face to our customers. You will help to manage our growth in our service business by delivering excellent work, strong customer commitment, and engagement. You ensure that the customer's expectations are met every time. You consult the customers and provide timely service support for technical problems, monitoring, testing, and demonstrations either on-site or remotely through high-tech tools.
This has a positive effect in minimizing downtime, reducing costs, or promoting our product capabilities in the case of a test or demo.
Specific tasks include:
1. Undertakes all maintenance activities (including installation and commissioning) of Edwards products in line with Edwards global standards, whilst ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
2. Provides front-line support for key field service activities at OEM site and customer sites ensuring a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
3. Conducts basic faultfinding and troubleshooting support to resolve or escalate issues within the agreed contractual timeframes in order to meet customer expectations.
4. Conducts all field service activities within the boundaries of all applicable regulations, policies and procedures to ensure organisational, safety and health obligations are met.
5. Adheres to all relevant aspects of the risk control elements.
6. Provides detailed and accurate feedback on activities and compiles clear and concise reports for submission to the line manager and/or technical support to enable informed decisions to be made to resolve product issues.
7. Undertakes routine stock audits and takes responsibility for ordering and booking of spares for site stock.
8. Undertakes the set up, operation and maintenance of software products and monitoring platforms.
9. Uses Edwards processes and operating platforms to accurately capture service related information as determined by the scope of responsibility for the creation of field service notifications and orders, through to completion.

* Self-directed, with the ability to understand and resolve problems aligned with job responsibilities and escalates through the appropriate channels when required.
* Proactively seeks customer feedback and asks questions to understand customer's business.
* Ability to share technical expertise and knowledge and provide coaching to less experienced team members.
* Collaborates and supports with team members to deliver company objectives.
* Complies with all applicable laws, policies and standards to ensure organisational, safety and health obligations are met.
* Good written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in home country language, a basic command of written and spoken English is required.
* Able to use computer software to record data and write reports.
* Can understand and interpret technical documentation relevant to work e.g. technical drawings.
* Education level: University or formal qualification in a mechanical, electromechanical or an electronics discipline.
* Previous field service experience in a relevant or related industry, ideally customer facing.
* Pro-active and able to work independently while reporting remotely to the Operations Manager.
* Occasional travel to customer sites and workshops/offices within the CC territory as required.
* Very good knowledge of MS Office, comfortable using SAP platforms with desire and aptitude to learn new systems.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Fluency in English is essential.
* Valid driver's licence.
* Live within a 25 miles radius of Abingdon.
