Community Engagement and VSCE Coordinator

The role is integral to our future plans and you will be helping people that are most in need to get support to quit smoking, whilst promoting and working with local neighbourhood stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities
Role Purpose
ABL Health have been commissioned by Bolton Council to deliver a high quality and specialist stop smoking service across Bolton. The Community Engagement and VCSE Project Coordinator will assist the Head of Service (training, marketing and engagement) in increasing engagement and raising the profile of the service through building relationships and delivering training to local partners in the community. This is a varied and exciting role where the post holder will have a real influence on the development of the service.
With the new smoke free generation funding, this post will be the main contact point for VCSE services engaging with our smokefree Bolton pilot. The role will also be responsible for tracking payments to services who have engaged with the role on a quarterly basis and regular drafting of reports and data analysis for learning.
You will be a motivated, passionate, organised and proactive communicator, with experience working in a community setting. ABL takes a strengths-focused asset-based approach to community delivery, looking to innovate and partner, not replicate existing delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Working with ABL's communication team to help raise the service profile.
* Working closely with operational colleagues to manage the referral rates and develop partnerships with all potential referrers in your locality.
* Implement community targets on Your Health Bolton marketing and engagement strategy, providing regular updates and monitoring progress of community engagement projects.
* Organise and attend local community events across the county to promote our service and encourage referrals.
* Develop and deliver our engagement offer to Children and Young People.
* Collaborate with our digital and communications officer to develop engaging resources for community engagement.
* Attend local health forums/meetings on a regular basis where required to represent the service.
* Deliver Very Brief Advice training to client-facing stakeholders across Bolton VCSE, to increase signposting/referrals to our service from a wide range of sectors.

* Demonstrable experience of partnership working.
* Previous experience of delivering training programmes.
* Experience of qualitative and quantitative client feedback.

* Local knowledge of VCSE services in Bolton.
* Experience of partnership working/collaborating with various organisations.
