Job descriptionThe role is responsible for the quality, on-time delivery and cost of a high precision machine shop making all components for niche volume transmissions and similar items for the motorsport, automotive, defence and aerospace industries. You will manage of total team of over 140 people, including machine technicians, quality inspection, manufacturing engineers, programmers and production control. You will lead a strong technical team, executing a highly utilised and skilled workforce to improve performance in all areas of the business, whilst planning for the future introducing new machine tools and business processes/systems. Based at the company's facility in the Midlands, this role will involve occasional travel to customers, suppliers and other company sites but primarily the role is internally focused on improving the performance of the business.
