P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently recruiting a Marketing Administrator/Executive to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a part-time, permanent basis.
This is a diverse marketing role that includes some administrative holiday/illness back-up for the company that operates across varying industry sectors: Oil & Gas, Construction, and Environmental.
Marketing Responsibilities:
1. Develop and extend customer relations through a combination of Mailchimp mailings, personal emails, phone calls, face-to-face meetings, supplemented by occasional trade fair attendance (3-5 a year, most involving day trips).
2. Monitor and update indirect channels such as Trade Directories and various contacts lists (e.g., press and trade fair lists).
3. Perform routine tasks such as researching missing customer job titles, running weekly database reports, updating spreadsheets, and filing.
4. Prepare press releases, directory updates, adverts, and trade fair materials (e.g., flyers).
5. Post fortnightly news items and liaise with our web editor and designer on updates.
6. Conduct research on new target markets.
7. Manage Mailchimp campaigns including weekly or fortnightly mailings and campaign spreadsheets.
8. Handle unsubscribes and update contacts lists.
9. Update the website with news and interesting stories.
10. Conduct quote phone follow-up calls and manage marketing materials.
11. Occasionally manage events such as the annual MEMORIAL RACE DAY at Great Yarmouth races.
12. Update lists of the trade press, ezines, and directories.
13. Provide administrative support for customer quotations and incoming/outgoing equipment.
Person Specification/Experience:
1. Good design skills, particularly in Canva and Mailchimp.
2. Excellent time management skills with the ability to vary the pace of work according to deadlines and priorities.
3. Organized, with the ability to update ring binders, contact lists, and the database.
4. Proactive, with the ability to maintain a pending list and follow up on responses.
5. Confident and friendly phone manner, with experience dealing with customers both face-to-face and on the phone.
6. Friendly, positive, and flexible attitude.
7. Able to work as part of a team and assist other team members when required.
8. Prepared for some repetitive tasks, as the database and website are undergoing significant clean-up work.
9. Good command of the English language, including grammar and punctuation, with the ability to write jargon-free content and summarized reports.
10. Competent in MS Word, MS Outlook, able to format MS Excel spreadsheets, and use file transfer applications such as WeTransfer.
11. Experience in Mailchimp, Access, InDesign, and WordPress is advantageous.
Working Hours:
16 hours a week, weekdays.
