Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management:
1. Take full ownership of the payroll process for our upstream business, ensuring timely and accurate payments for approximately 60 employees using the IRIS system.
2. Handle a variety of payroll adjustments including share schemes, pensions, car allowances, and offshore allowances—every day will be different!
3. Provide top-tier customer service to employees by answering questions and resolving discrepancies quickly and effectively.
Benefits Administration:
1. Play a central role in administering complex employee benefits, from share schemes to offshore allowances, helping to manage our bespoke offerings.
2. Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure seamless integration and accurate reporting of all benefits.
Compliance & Reporting:
1. Stay ahead of changing regulations to ensure the company’s compliance with payroll tax filings, statutory payments, and pension contributions.
2. Produce detailed payroll reports for senior management and finance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in every report.
Process Improvement:
1. Continually assess and refine payroll processes, introducing efficiencies and innovative solutions that elevate the function.
2. Work closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll managers to implement new systems and keep processes aligned across the business.
Confidentiality & Data Protection:
1. Handle sensitive payroll and employee data with the highest level of confidentiality and care, ensuring our company remains compliant with data protection regulations.
What we’re looking for:
1. Payroll Expertise: Proficiency in payroll systems (IRIS, SAP) with a deep understanding of tax regulations and employee benefits administration.
2. Experience in a Complex Business Environment: If you have a background in payroll management within oil and gas, or a similarly complex industry, that’s a big plus!
3. Strong Organisational Skills: You thrive in an organised, detail-oriented environment and can manage multiple tasks and deadlines with ease.
4. Communication Skills: You excel at communicating with people at all levels and can explain complex payroll information in a simple, straightforward way.
