The Head of Operational Technology manages a team of 4 as part of the pladis Global IT team, reporting to the Director of Infrastructure, and leads the control systems infrastructure strategy (OT L0-L3) for pladis. In addition, provides central day to day support leadership for UK sites (6 Factories, 1 warehouse, 1 Choc Refinery) automation systems as required, plus additional ad-hoc support to the global teams.
The role holder will work closely with both the global IT teams, external delivery partners and the global supply chain teams, to proactively manage the control systems arena, with particular focus on strategy and planning as pladis moves forward with its Digital Transformation vision.
They will manage the team of four OT Consultants to work with the individual maintenance technicians on sites to assist, coach and train as appropriate, skills needed to support the sites automation infrastructure.
They will indirectly (matrix manage) equivalent role holders located in other pladis regions, providing expert guidance, helping enforce global standards and formulating strategy.
They will work with the wider IT infrastructure, application, and security teams, to ensure that general IT standards and strategies are implemented and enforced where appropriate.
