THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for a Credit Control Supervisor to join a highly experienced team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will lead a small team of credit controllers, ensuring efficient debt collection processes while maintaining strong customer relationships. Collaboration with key stakeholders will be vital to identifying, flagging, and resolving disputes promptly.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Supporting and coordinating the Credit Control team to optimise performance.
• Managing your own portfolio of customer accounts, focusing on reducing overdue debts.
• Understanding complex credit issues, mitigating risks, and ensuring adherence to company credit policies.
• Opening new accounts, conducting credit checks, and assessing customer creditworthiness.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer records and account details.
• Handling Applications for Payment, Customer Payment Certificates, and Retentions, as well as reconciling customer accounts and payments.
This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive and organised individual who can foster teamwork and drive results.
REQUIREMENTS
To excel in this role, you will need:
• Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years in credit control, with at least some supervisory experience.
• Communication skills: Strong interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and external contacts at all levels.
• Organisational ability: The capacity to prioritise a busy workload and handle complex issues with outstanding attention to detail.
• Technical proficiency: Familiarity with MS Excel and SAP is advantageous.
• Teamwork: A collaborative mindset and the ability to support an established team of credit controllers.
