If you have excellent communicationskills and a creative and practical approach to problem solving,then we have the perfect opportunities foryou.
You will respond to enquiries from people inoften complex and difficult situations providing them with highquality housing advice that will help them to access the servicesthey need to prevent homelessness. You will investigate and assesspeople who are homeless or threatened with homelessness in linewith relevant legislation. You will examine and report on factorswhich lead to housing needs and assist with innovative solutions tothe housing problems facing people today, working under thecouncil’s new Homelessness and Rough SleepingStrategy.
You must have experience in a housingor related setting with a good working knowledge of welfarebenefits and eligibility criteria for social care. You will haveexperience of working with the public, in particular vulnerablepeople, and have a clear understanding of equalityissues.
One of the roles will specialise insupporting refugee households, particularly from Ukraine andAfghanistan. Therefore, we would particularly welcome applicantswith relevant language skills and strong cultural awarenessskills.
