Role Overview: As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional care and support to our residents during the night. You will lead by example, providing hands-on care, overseeing junior staff, and ensuring the comfort and safety of residents throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
* Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes to the management team.
* Administer medication in accordance with care plans.
* Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
* Supervise and support junior care staff, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or incidents.
* Ensure the care home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Care Assistant, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable.
* Compassionate, patient, and committed to providing high-quality care.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
