Job Overview :
DCBL is a leading Debt Recovery company that specialises in providing efficient and effective financial recovery solutions for our clients. We are currently seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Collections Correspondence Associate. This is a full-time position located within our Head Office.
As a Collections Correspondence Associate, you will play a crucial role in our Debt Recovery process by communicating with debtors during our Collections letter cycle. Associates are the main point of contact for debtors who have received a Debt Recovery letter and are responsible for resolving disputes, formalising payment arrangements and answering debtor queries. The role involves responding to inbound correspondence (post and emails), allocating correspondence to the correct case, and submitting Client queries/processing Client responses.
Responsibilities and Duties :
Responding to debtor queries by utilising Client back-office systems and viewing evidence
Provide assistance and guidance to debtors in resolving their outstanding balances
Update our internal system with accurate and up-to-date information on debtors
Ensure all correspondence is in compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Collaborate with other team members to achieve company goals and targets
Keep accurate and detailed records of all communication with debtors
Report any issues or concerns to the Collections Team Leader or Manager
Continuously update your knowledge on collection laws and regulations
Skills :
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office & Teams
Ability to comply with GDPR, relevant laws and regulations
Excellent communication skills
Great attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Qualifications/Experience
Previous experience within a correspondence-based role
Prior experience in Debt Recovery is desirable (but not essential)
Salary up to £24,000 per annum + bonus structure (OTE £26,500)
Hours of work 09:00 - 17:00
Monday Friday schedule (36.5 hours per week)
