SEN Learning Support Assistant KS2 Learning Support Assistant General classroom support SEMH/ASD students Full-Time / Part-Time North Bristol September Start At Long-Term Teachers, we are working closely with a Special school in the Bristol area. They are looking for a LSA to join a KS2 class with some general classroom support as well as 1-1 work. This wonderful school looks after a range of special needs but primarily are focused around SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs), ASD & ADHD. The school are fairly new so they boast top of the range facilities and are very proud of how far the school has already come. The Role This role is a full-time position, where the successful candidate will be expected to support a KS2 class of SEMH students where you will be supporting the class teacher in whatever the teacher needs. They require candidates that are proactive and naturally enthusiastic. Due to the needs of the students it is essential that you feel confident in dealing with challenging behaviour and have worked with SEMH/ASD students before. The school ideally want someone that is available full-time/long-term but they are open to applications from part-time LSA's with the right experience. You will be expected to: Be adaptable and flexible around the needs of the pupils. Have experience of working with SEMH/ASD. Feel confident in dealing with challenging behaviour Support students on a personal level as well as educational.
