We are looking for a Electrical Maintenance Operative who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same. As the Electrical Maintenance Operative, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services. The Electrical Maintenance Operative, will be responsible for: Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance. The successful candidate will ensure that SHE standards are maintained and will liaise with engineers and subcontractors. A proactive approach to client liaison is essential, ensuring that concerns are addressed or relayed to management as necessary. The role requires compliance with and enforcement of existing business risk management procedures for maintenance and project works. You will need to understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time. Additionally, you will investigate and report in detail on infrastructure shortfalls, problems, and incidents, recommending options for remedial actions. Coordination of connections to existing plant/systems and effective use and maintenance of O&M Manuals and quality procedures are also key responsibilities. The position requires availability for scheduled and unplanned weekend working. Compliance with company and statutory regulations relating to safe systems of work, health and safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and localised fire regulation procedures is mandatory. To be successful for this Electrical Maintenance Operative role you must have: The ideal candidate for this position will hold accreditation to the 18th Edition of the New Wiring Regulations, also known as BS 7671, as updated in January 2019 by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). Suitable cross industry sector qualifications such as Level 3 Electrical Engineering skills which meet with the maintenance processes required for other systems such as Fire and Security systems and Electro-mechanical systems for gate and pedestrian systems controls. They should possess relevant experience in providing electrical maintenance services within a large and complex environment. Basic to intermediate IT skills are necessary, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with some experience in updating systems. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as is the ability to take notes effectively. The candidate should demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be self-motivated. A substantial practical background in various building services disciplines is required, encompassing heating, hot water, ventilation, refrigeration, environmental systems, electrical power and distribution, and public health. The candidate must be a team player, flexible within contracted hours, and exhibit a positive, ‘can do' attitude.
