We’re seeking dedicated tutors based in Wallingford to support students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and more. If you are passionate about delivering personalised learning and helping students unlock their potential, we want to hear from you!
About the Role:
As an SEN Tutor, you will work closely with students to assess their needs and deliver a tailored scheme of work that helps them overcome barriers to learning. Sessions will take place in a variety of locations, including the student’s home, local venues, or schools, offering flexibility to suit both you and the learner.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students' individual SEN needs and develop tailored lesson plans
Deliver engaging, supportive lessons that foster confidence and progress
Build strong relationships with students to support their emotional and academic growth
Work in collaboration with schools, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes
Adapt your teaching methods to suit different learning styles and needs
What We're Looking For:
Experience supporting students with various SEN needs (e.g. Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, etc.)
The ability to plan and deliver tailored lessons that suit the student’s individual requirements
A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching
Strong communication skills to work with students, parents, and educational teams
Teaching qualification is desirable but not essential
Ability to work in a range of settings (home, school, local venues)
