West Suffolk Council – Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 3YU £28,624 to £31,586 per annum plus excellent employee benefits package 37 hours per week Full Time Temporary for 24 months Reference: 0069 Required to start as soon as possible About the role This post has been created to support West Suffolk residents with the cost-of-living crisis and deliver preventative and early intervention work. You will work with residents across West Suffolk identified through the Low-Income Family Tracker software and other data sources available locally as needing support to maximise their income and reduce levels of debt. This includes, but is not limited to, welfare advice and support, assistance in making and maintaining Universal Credit and other benefits claims. You will also seek opportunities to proactively engage those you are supporting with other sources of support, where relevant, including social prescribing. You will be delivering effective early intervention financial support to families and individuals across West Suffolk. You will collaborate with a wide range of organisations to hand over more complex cases and work partnerships across public, private and voluntary/community sectors as appropriate.
