Group HR Manager
* Annual Salary: Circa £50,000 - £60,000pa
* Location: Canterbury, Kent

REED HR have partnered with a fantastic organisation in Kent who are seeking a Group HR Manager to oversee HR operations across multiple companies within a blue-collar environment. This role encompasses a wide range of HR functions, including performance management, reward, training, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in HR management and a proven track record of enhancing workforce productivity and satisfaction.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Rewriting contracts and job specifications.
* Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy of multiple companies.
* Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
* Manage the recruitment and selection process to ensure alignment with organisational needs and culture.
* Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
* Maintain pay plan and benefits program, assessing the competitiveness and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
* Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management, mitigating risks and overseeing HR policies and procedures.
* Conduct training needs analysis and designs and implement a training plan with input from business heads.
* Manage succession planning of staff within the group of companies.
* Provide decision support through HR metrics, compiling reports from the database as needed.
* Projects on Training and Rewards & Benefits.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as an HR Manager, preferably in a blue-collar or similar industry.
* Demonstrable experience with HR metrics and HR systems.
* Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
* Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
* Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
* In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices.
* Degree in CIPD Human Resources or related field; further training or certification in Human Resource Management will be a plus.
