Behaviour Mentor
Do you have experience working with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)? Do you have De-escalation techniques that would be invaluable in a classroom environment? Are you looking to work within a pupil referral unit?
Teaching Personnel are looking for confident and impressionable individuals who can help mentor children with EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties), SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), and challenging behaviour. Most of these children require that nudge in the right direction with a dedicated and understanding approach. Someone trustworthy and committed to the role is essential, but also someone who will bring their own experience and life knowledge to the role and provide their own flair.
We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic to make a difference and be able to de-escalate, distract, and keep pupils calm and collected during their scheduled learning times. As you can appreciate, the school will not adopt a typical school environment, and experience in this area is preferred as you will be expected to provide a 'hands-on' approach to learning and de-escalation when required.
