Datum Design - PROJECT ENGINEER This full-time role involves being a key player in a Project Engineering Team of a dynamic and growing company that specialises in the manufacture of Aerospace Tooling Packages for a wide range of UK & International customers. The candidate must be willing to be involved in the development and execution of new and challenging projects. Role and responsibilities: You will be responsible for taking ownership of & delivering projects within a production/manufacturing environment, ensuring adherence to cost, quality and schedule. You will be able to interpret and analyse engineering drawings from a wide range of customers. You will display the personal skills to influence and communicate at all levels, while remaining calm under the pressure of organising more than one project simultaneously. You will liaise efficiently with customers providing Project reports and updates and agree resolutions to variances or non-conformances raised. You will deal with external suppliers, maintaining good professional relationships and answering technical queries. You will work closely with inhouse Design, Production and Quality to meet customer requirements and follow internal procedures. You will assist Engineering Management & Directors in improving the companys engineering capabilities. The role is a 40h standard week (flexible working), and provision for overtime working on occasion as & when required to support project deadlines. Have at least 5 years relevant experience within a tool design / engineering environment. Strong CAD experience, preferably in Catia, with knowledge and understanding of manufacturing tolerances and Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Experience working in an Engineering / Production manufacturing environment. Be computer literate and proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project). Desirable Experience: Knowledge and experience of using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems or similar Knowledge of a range of composite manufacturing processes Experience in aerospace engineering/manufacture Willingness to travel on company business if required Salary will be negotiable dependant on relevant experience.
