British Engines Group company, CMP Products, is a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of cable glands, cable cleats and cable accessories.
CMP manufactures its products from three facilities based in Cramlington, Northumberland, and has a global distribution network, supported by ten offices spread across six continents from Houston, USA, to Busan, South Korea.
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be required to undertake planned, preventive and reactive maintenance activities on equipment, tools and facilities across the whole site.
What you’ll be doing
1. Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times
2. Complete planned preventive maintenance of equipment, tools and facilities
3. Continue to develop the planned preventative maintenance procedures emphasising breakdown prevention
4. The installation and/or modifying of equipment as required
5. Conduct a root cause analysis of breakdowns and implement effective reoccurrence prevention plans using resources available
6. Operate access platforms including scissor lifts and cherry pickers
7. Utilise digital resources to access information, emails and complete reports
8. Train and mentor apprentices
Who we are looking for
To apply, you must be a time-served electrician, have experience in a high volume manufacturing environment, and have an electrical background with a good working knowledge of PLCs; 17th or 18th Edition are preferred but not essential.
We are looking for someone who has the ability to work alone as well as someone who can work as part of a team interfacing with other departments, suppliers, contractors and manufacturers.

This position will be on a full-time, permanent basis. Working hours are an average of 37.5 hours per week on a shift rotation which involves 10 x 12 hour shifts over a 21 day cycle with 11 days off.
