Deputy Managers for Children’s and Semi-Independent Residential Homes

We are recruiting on behalf of our clients across the UK for Deputy Managers to work in Children’s Residential Homes and Semi-Independent Living Services. These full-time, permanent positions involve overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring the highest standards of care are provided to children and young people with a range of needs, including:
* Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
* Learning Disabilities (LD)
* Autism
* Mental Disabilities (MD)
* Challenging Behaviour

* Salary: £37,000 - £43,000 per annum, depending on experience and role complexity.

Ideal Candidates Will Have
* Experience in a supervisory or management role within a children’s care setting.
* A Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Services (or equivalent).
* A Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management (preferred).
* A valid UK driver’s licence (preferred but not essential).
What You Must Have
* Experience working in a similar environment within the last 3 years (ideally 2 years or more).
* The right to work in the UK.
* A solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, including Ofsted standards and safeguarding practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the management and delivery of therapeutic care to children and young people in residential and semi-independent settings.
* Oversee the implementation of individualised care plans, ensuring that all young people receive the highest level of support tailored to their needs.
* Ensure all regulatory documentation is accurately maintained, including care plans, risk assessments, incident reports, and safeguarding documentation.
* Support the compliance of the service with Ofsted regulations, ensuring that all standards are consistently met and exceeded.
* Lead a team of support workers, providing supervision, guidance, and training to ensure high-quality care and professional development.
* Foster a safe and nurturing environment for both young people and staff, managing complex behaviours with compassion and professionalism.
* Collaborate with families, external professionals, and agencies to deliver positive outcomes for the young people in your care.
