NextGen Teachers are currently working with a school based in Harrogate who are seeking to recruit full-time Support Assistants to support the children in school who live with Social and Emotional Mental Health needs including anxiety and depression.
This school is easily accessible by car from North Leeds or Central Harrogate. The school is looking for candidates who are experienced in supporting individuals with mental health needs and who display challenging behaviour.
This Specialist SEMH School in Harrogate caters for pupils aged 8-16 years who have Social and Emotional Mental Health needs and who are working on a Primary based curriculum.
The role of an SEMH Support Assistant in this school will be to:
1. Support pupils in the classroom on a day-to-day basis.
2. Work with multiple pupils and provide 1-2-1 support and intervention.
3. Support pupils with their holistic development in line with their Educational Health Care Plans.
4. Support and manage the behaviour of the students.
