About the team/role: LexisNexis Risk Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer II with proven industry experience to join our Information Security team and Platforms squad. The successful candidate will perform software design, typically across multiple components, and work with others to talk to users/customers and translate their requests into solutions. The position will also build infrastructure as code, software services (PaaS and SaaS), with a focus on automation of Information Security applications within our cloud and on-premises environments. Main Responsibilities: - Delivery of resilient designs and stacks via "Infrastructure as Code" and other DevOps practices. - Diagnosis and resolution of complex system and application issues. - Establish Quality, Policy, and Security checks during the integration and deployment of code. - Work with the Core Pipeline team to contribute Modules and Incremental improvements to the Core Pipeline, Core Services, and Core Operating team's Libraries and Services. - Collaborate with SRE team members to ensure development and operations work is delivered in full and on time (agile/product sprints). - Write and maintain systems/application documentation for technical and non-technical audiences. - Monitoring and ongoing support of critical Information Security systems and applications. - Ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert, advising others in the team on best practices and to impart knowledge. Essential Skills and Attributes: - Must have experience working within Azure; AWS experience also preferred. - Must have experience using Terraform. (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or equivalent is also preferred). - Must have experience with common source control tools - e.g., Git, SVN. - Must have experience with GitHub actions. - Own integrating security (shift left) into build, test, and deployment automations. - Use of Secret Management services - e.g., HashiCorp Vault. - Good organizational skills required to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work effectively. - Must have coding and scripting proficiency in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or equivalent. - The candidate should be well-versed in Information security principles at an Intermediate level. - Exposure to application security testing (source code review, threat modeling, security testing). - Understanding of OWASP, CVSS, the MITRE ATT&CK framework, and the software development lifecycle (SLDC).
