About the role
You will provide technical solutions and programmes of work to address responsive repairs, void property repairs, and projects across a defined geographical area. This involves understanding business requirements and residents' requests, ensuring works are properly specified and delivered.
You will complete property repairs and maintenance forms, which are a key part of our contract with residents. The post holder must provide the right level of property maintenance to protect a building's asset value and ensure repairs are undertaken right first time. Maintaining and improving resident satisfaction is a priority.
You will be part of a key asset management team, working cross-functionally with colleagues in Planned Maintenance and Housing, with responsibility for managing work to meet KPI targets. The role includes meeting regulatory and health and safety standards, including the Decent Homes Standard and the Housing Health and Safety Rating System.
About you
* You will have a professional qualification or equivalent experience in a maintenance, construction, or related field.
* You will have a fundamental knowledge of the construction industry, particularly in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or Building Surveying.
* You must have knowledge of and apply the Decent Homes standard and Housing Health and Safety Rating System.
* You should have experience in procurement best practices, managing external contractors and suppliers.
* You will have experience delivering servicing works programmes, tendering, and using schedules of rates.
* You should possess BTEC, HND/HNC, or equivalent qualifications, with strong verbal reasoning and numerical skills.
* You must be innovative, creative, and demonstrate drive and determination.
* You should have the ability to collaborate across teams and services.
* You will be diplomatic, persuasive, and capable of resolving conflicts and influencing others.
