Midas Recruitment Ltd is delighted to work with this specialist, privately owned company based in Birmingham's jewellery quarter, that wishes to hire a Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant on a permanent (part-time basis), approximately 20 hours per week. Work hours: 4 hours a day in office (Mon-Friday), freeing up time for other interests Salary: A base salary of c £17 per hour (approximately £17,000 per annum) 4 weeks holiday and statutory bank holidays Free parking Varied accounting duties Friendly, supportive work environment Book-keeper Responsibilities: As the sole book-keeper/accounts person on site, the varied responsibilities will include; Using the Sage system to process sales and purchase ledger transactions, performing bank reconciliations, as well as payroll and credit control. Liaising with the Financial Controller (based overseas), and with the external accountant/advisor. Book-keeper Skills and Experience: The company seeks an experienced all-round, 'hands-on' accounts person, for this important role in a smaller company environment. Comfortable handling responsibility and will have a clear communication style. Credible in handling accounts matters with suppliers/customers/banks etc
