The Job at a Glance: This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in accounts as a Graduate Trainee Accountant in the Stepstone UK finance function. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner the role will focus on managing costs across the business within agreed budgets. This is an exciting opportunity which offers you with the opportunity to gain key financial skills and experience of accounting fundamentals across multiple areas of finance. A competitive study support package is included. Your Responsibilities Working with Finance Business Partners and budget holders to create and update budgets and forecasts. Reviewing monthly costs with budget holders and providing support from a financial perspective. Participate in month end close, creating accruals and prepayments. Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts. Create and prepare reports to assist budget holders in managing their budgets. Liaising with other members of the finance team to ensure correct reporting. Sales commission calculations. Cost base review and reconciliation. The role will also include general finance tasks such as balance sheet reconciliations, ad hoc analysis and providing support to other members of the team as necessary.
