Lead Storage Engineer/ Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Storage Engineer/ Administrator with a leading global electronic device organization.
This role will suit a Senior or Lead Storage Administrator where you will lead on design, enhancement, implementation and administration of the organization's storage infrastructure as a Subject Matter Expert within Europe and as part of a global IT infrastructure team.
The role is split 50/50 between projects and BAU, with 45 sites across EMEA, offering travel opportunities for planned installs and projects.
Key responsibilities:
* Design & develop complex integrated solutions for SAN and NAS environments.
* Perform and evaluate vendor and cost comparisons for projects.
* Provides 24/7 on-call support.
* As a SME on established and emerging storage technologies, including NetApp, EMC VPLEX, Isilon VMAX, POWERMAX, NetApp Cluster mode NAS arrays, and Pure block and Objective storage systems.
* Automated storage device management, configuration, and provisioning with Ansible NetApp cluster mode.
* Adhere to SOX, PCI, and other regulatory requirements.
* Understand and avoid capacity, redundancy, and health constraints of storage systems.
* Ensures that all security requirements are met or exceeded.
* Provides a significant contribution to defining team roadmap and priorities.
* Develops reliable solutions to complex problems.
* Serves as a mentor and provides guidance to less experienced Storage team members.
Key experience required:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ relevant subject combined with proven relevant experience or 9+ years relevant experience.
* NetApp experience.
* Able to author and implement basic scripting/ coding for automation.
* Able to solve moderately complex technical problems independently.
* Proven background in successful infrastructure implementation.
* Strong communication skills and ability to lead/ mentor in a small team setting.
* Good organizational skills and quality across work including documentation.
